The National Institute of Education’s Department of English created the recovery plan for English as a pragmatic strategy to deal with the learning loss caused by the shutdown of the school due to transportation concerns. As far as general education development with regard to quality and equity is concerned, the National Institute of Education (9NIE) in Sri Lanka is the foremost institution in the nation. The New Recovery Plan for Learning Loss Year 2022 was just introduced by NIE Sri Lanka.

Minimum learning levels that have been found for each grade were taken into account when determining the most crucial competency levels that should be included in the recovery plan.
In order to successfully implement this recovery strategy in the classroom, English teachers must also pay close attention to using the best techniques to help the students grasp all of the clustering competency levels.
Sri Lanka’s school year will begin on July 25, 2022.

According to the most recent statistics, schools have only been open for 21–29 days out of the 47 days scheduled for the first term from April 18, 2022, to July 7, 2022. Since it was learned that the school will only be open three days a week, a plan was created to finish the project in 26 weeks.
