2079 election results in Nepal election.gov.np: The results of the local level elections in Nepal in 2079 are currently being counted. Up until today, the Nepali Congress has been in charge. This past Friday was election day. On Friday, a total of 17733723 people cast ballots. 35221 candidates running for a variety of municipal positions in both urban and rural areas will be chosen by the voters.
For the smooth operation of the election, the election commission constructed 21955 polling centres and 10756 polling stations. The election features 145011 contestants, including independent and candidates from several political parties. There are 145011, 89313 male candidates, and 55698 female candidates out of that total.
In all, 753 positions will be filled by candidates in this election. There are 753 460 village municipalities, 276 municipalities, 11 sub-metropolitan cities, and 6 metropolitan cities out of the total.
The election was held five years after the previous one. There are 79 political parties running in the election, and 65 of them have registered with the Election Commission. Here is an update on the 2022 Nepal election results.

Nepali Congress has won 148 seats and is in the lead with 160 seats in the mayor/chairperson election. The CPN-UML is in second place with 98 seats won and leads with 95 seats. The Maoist Center is in third place after winning 72 seats and taking the lead in 45 seats. The other independent parties now hold a 24-seat majority after winning 8 seats. With 4 seats won, the CPN (unified socialist) now holds a 15-seat majority. With 3 seats won, the Janta Samajwadi Party now holds a 29-seat majority.
The Nepali Congress is now in the lead in the race for vice-chairperson and deputy mayor. They are in the lead in 138 seats and have won 144 seats. With 99 seats won, the CPN UML now holds a 120-seat majority. 72 seats have been won, and 56 seats are now held by the Maoist Centre.
Dhana Raj Acharya of the CPN (united Socialist) is in the lead with 10157 votes in the Pokhra Mayor election.
Renu Dahal of the Maoist Center is in the lead for Bharatpur mayor.
With 7920 votes from the Lalitpur constituency, Chiri Babu Maharjan of the Nepali Congress is in the lead.
Rajesh Man Singh of the Janta Samajwadi Party is in the lead in Birjugunj with 8131 votes.
Nagesh Koirala of the Nepali Congress is in the lead in Biratnagar Metropolitan with 9000 votes.

Bagmati Pradesh Election result
One of the largest Pradeshs in Nepal is Bagmati. Bagmati Pradesh has 6084042 residents overall and 119 local units. In Bagmati Pradesh, there are 74 village councils, 41 municipalities, three metropolitan areas, and one sub-metropolitan area. The two most significant of those are Sindhupalchowk and Kathmandu.
Kathmandu district election results
The population of the Kathmandu district is 2017532. In Kathmandu, there are ten municipalities, one metropolitan unit, and eleven local units. The Kathmandu district’s municipalities include Khageswari Manohara, Kirtipur, Gokarneshwor, Chandragiri, Tokha, Tarakeshor, Dakshinkali, Nagarjun, Budhanilakantha, and Shankarapur. The ktme election outcome for 2079 is described in more detail below.
The Nepali Congress party has already won seats and is in the lead in 4 seats in the election for mayor and chairperson of Kathmandu. The Janta Samajwadi Party, Loktantrit Samajwadi Party, Maoist Centre, CPN, and CPN-UML have all failed to win over even one voter. But in 2 and 1 centre, respectively, independent candidates and CPN-UML candidates continue to lead.
Nepali Congress was successful in winning three seats and taking the lead in two seats in the Deputy Mayor/Vice-Chairperson election in Kathmandu. In contrast, CPN-UML has gained the upper hand in 5 seats.
Kathmandu Metropolitan
With 11013 votes, independent Balendra Shah has gained the upper hand in the race for mayor of Kathmandu. Shirjana Shrestha, a candidate for the Nepali Congress, got 5211 votes, while Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML has 5959.
In the Kathmandu Deputy Mayor election, Sunita Dangol of CPN-UML took the comfortable lead with 10477 votes. Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN ( Unified Socialist) is in second place with 3048 votes.
Kageshowri Manohara Municipality
Upendra Karki, a candidate for the Nepali Congress, is now in the lead with 3699 votes. Ram Sharan Dhungana of the CPN-UML received 3187 votes to finish in second place. He and Karki are close.
Shanta Thapa of the CPN-UML is the current front-runner for deputy mayor with 1131 votes, followed by Bhola Chapagain of the Maoist centre with 541 votes.
Municipality of Kirtipur
Rajkumar Nakarmi easily defeated Kesh Ratna Bajracharya in the race for mayor, receiving 9043 votes to his opponent’s 5507 votes.
Subha Laxmi Shakya received 8865 votes to win the race for deputy mayor. She defeated CPN-Bindu UML’s Maharjan.
Gokarneshwor Municipality
In the race for mayor, Deepak Kumar Rimal of the Nepali Congress is in the lead with 5556 votes, followed by Uddhav Bista of the CPN-UML with 5353. He is engaging Deepak Rimal in a combative struggle.
With 5303 votes, Sannani Lama of the CPN-UML is in the lead for deputy mayor.
Tarakeshwor Municipality
Rameshwor Bohara of the CPN-UML was defeated by Krishna Hari Maharjan of the Nepali Congress with 11988 votes in the race for mayor.
Sreejana Burlakoti received 10786 votes to win the Deputy Mayor race.
Nagarjun Municipality
With 4098 votes, Mohan Bahadur Basnet of the Nepali Congress is in the lead for mayor. With 3404 votes, Nandan Hari Gautam is in second position.
With 3429 votes, Sushila Adhikari of the CPN-UML is in the lead for deputy mayor.
Budhanilakantha Municipality
in a vote for mayor. With 8314 votes, Mitha Ram Adhikari of the CPN-UML has seized the lead; Binod Chalise of the Nepali Congress is in second place with 7181 votes.
With 8637 votes, CPN-UML candidate Anita Lama is in the lead for deputy mayor.
Shankharapur Municipality
With 3703 votes, Ramesh Napit of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party is in the lead. CPN’s Laxmi Prasad Shrestha is close behind. He currently has 3485 votes.
Samita Shrestha of the Nepali Congress is in the lead with 5534 votes in the race for deputy mayor.
Sindhupalchok election result
There are 262852 people living in Sindhupalchowk overall. 129395 of them are men, while 133457 of them are women. There are nine village councils, three municipalities, 12 local entities, and so on.
In the race for mayor and chair, the Nepali Congress won four seats and held a one-seat advantage. The Maoist centre is in a distant second. They presently hold the lead in two seats after winning two. The CPN-UML is in third position, has taken over two seats and won one.
The Nepali Congress has won 5 seats and is in the lead in 2 seats in the election for deputy mayor. The CPN-UML is in second place with two seats and one seat won. One seat was won by the CPN (united socialist). Only one seat has been won by the Maoist Center party.
Indrawati Rural Municipality
Jhamka Nath Nepal of the CPN-UML won the chairperson election with 7127 votes. With 6168 votes, Bikash Lama of the Nepali Congress is in second place.
Shovana Tamang of the CPN-UML narrowly defeated Daya Kumari Mishra of the Nepali Congress in the race for vice-chairperson by just 43 votes.
Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality
Krishna Prasad Sapkota of the Maoist centre won the election for mayor with 11072 votes. She easily defeated Indra Bahadur Nepal by 6785 votes.
With 9726 votes, Sita Thapa of the CPN (unite Socialist) won the race for vice mayor.
Nepali Congress has been in a dominant position up to this point. The final election outcome has not been made public. The counting has not stopped. We’ll keep you informed on the outcomes of the 2079 municipal elections in Nepal.
