Admission of Two Groups of Students Teachers to National Colleges of Education Concurrently to Pursue a Three Year Pre-Service National Diploma in Teaching Based on G.C.E. (A/L) Results in 2019 Or 2020-2021, College of Education Application 2022 Sri Lanka (2022).
Applicants are invited from those who have obtained the necessary academic credentials and are qualified to enrol in a three-year pre-service course leading to a national teaching diploma at a national college of education.

Currently, the Ministry of Education is accepting applications for admission to the National College of Education.
Students who qualify under AL in 2019 and 2022 may apply.
GCE A/L OL Index No is Required to Register.
As a result, candidates who took the G.C.E. (A/L) exam in 2019 or 2020, or in both years, using either the old or new syllabus, may apply.
Every applicant must submit their application online in accordance with the provided instructions.
Candidates who are eligible to apply based on their performance in 2019 and 2020 should submit two separate online applications.

Prior to submitting the application, particular attention should be given to the number of applications that will be recruited for each course based on the openings in each district based on the G.C.E. (A/L) results of 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
The G.C.E. (A/L) examination in the relevant language medium should have been passed by the applicants for the Sinhala and Tamil medium courses.
Candidates must have passed all three major subjects in a single sitting of the G.C.E. (A/L) exam, which was held in 2019 or 2020.
The G.C.E. (O/L) examination required applicants to pass in six subjects, including mathematics and a medium language (Sinhala or Tamil), with credit passes in three of those subjects. It is mandatory to pass in five subjects, including medium language, with three credit passes on the first try if these qualifications are completed in two attempts.

According to the order in which applicants earned points for sports in their health and physical education courses, candidates are called for interviews. The Quota Values, Priority Order, and Other Factors Will Be Used To Determine When Interviews and/or Selection Are Called For Each Course.
The number of students to be admitted to colleges from applicants who passed the G.C.E. exam in 2019 or 2020 has been determined by taking into account the requirements for teacher certification based on the number of openings caused by teacher retirement in the years 2024 and 2025.
